Hutto, Texas is located in Williamson County and is part of the Round Rock-Austin metropolitan area. This historic small city began as a railroad depot in 1876 and was known at one time as an important cotton market.  Today it is home to many businesses, restaurants, and Henrietta the Hippo -a two and a half ton hippo, which is the mascot of Hutto, Texas.  

Hutto’s close proximity to Austin, Round Rock, Georgetown, and Cedar Park make it a desirable place to live for Austin area commuters and locals.  The needs of the school system and education community are met by the Hutto Independent School District.  The Hutto Area Chamber of Commerce is dedicated to the businesses that continue to grow alongside the community.
